In the second half of this year, we have seen the release of many amazing Android smartphones, for instance Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime, Huawei Mate 9 Pro, Google Pixel XL, OnePlus 3T and etc. Did you get the one you wanted?

If you buy a new Android phones, you may have to copy all the data from your old Android phone to the new one. Even thought some softwares can help you transfer data between Android devices, WhatsApp data is anyway beyond their capabilities. Hence, we found out two useful ways for you to transfer WhatsApp conversations from Android to Android.

Method 1: Transfer WhatsApp Chat History between Android via Local Backup

If both of your new and old Android phones have external SD card, then transferring WhatsApp history to another Android phone is much easier.

Notes before start:
1.Before back up WhatsApp on your old phone, choose "Back up to Google Drive" to "Never", otherwise, the chat history will be backed up to Google Drive instead of SD card.
2.If your new phone has installed WhatsApp before, please remember to uninstall it before you put the SD card into it.

Now please follow the steps below:

1.Back up WhatsApp on your old Android phone by going to WhatsApp > Settings > Chat settings > Chat backup > tap "BACK UP".
2.Now transfer the SD card from your old Android phone to the new one.
3.Install WhatsApp on your new phone and log in WhatsApp with the account you used in the old phone.
4.During the installing process, click "Restore" when the app prompts you.

Method 2: Transfer WhatsApp Conversations between Android with WhatsMate

What if your phones have no SD card slot? Then the best way to transfer WhatsApp history from Android to Android is using Jihosoft WhatsMate, which allows you to transfer WhatsApp chats, contacts, calls and other attachments between nearly all kinds of Android smartphones, including Samsung, HTC, LG, Motorola, Sony, Nexus, Huawei and etc.

Choose the Transfer WhatsApp mode and when you connect both of your phones to the computer, the program will scan your devices.

Note: Before transfer, you must make sure that your desired source phone appears on the left side of the program interface and the destination phone on the right. Or you can click "Flip" to change their positions.

After that, you can see that your WhatsApp files are shown on the left sidebar, and the total number of WhatsApp files on your source phone is also listed.

Then, choose WhatsApp Chats and then click the "Transfer" button. That's it and you're done!
